After working as an experienced senior welder and fabricator on submarines and navy vessels at Victoria's Shipyard, Jordan launched Modern Edge Design + Fabrication in 2020. Leading the company’s operations, Jordan is a meticulous craftsman whose professionalism and creative expertise goes beyond limits to meet the needs of his clients. His mission is simple: to design and build high-quality metal products based on his time-honoured craftsmanship and to strengthen relationships with clients and industry partners on Vancouver Island.

President/Co-Founder

Ryan focuses on strengthening the systems, infrastructure, and strategic execution that power Modern Edge Industries’ growth. As President, he works across procurement, production planning, and process development to ensure the team has the tools, workflows, and resources needed to consistently deliver high-quality architectural metal and structural steel projects.

With a Red Seal foundation from Camosun College and advanced CAD training through Brighton College, Ryan bridges craftsmanship with operational design. He specializes in building scalable systems that improve shop efficiency, streamline fabrication, and elevate quality standards across every project.

A creative at heart, Ryan enjoys design, product development, and finding smarter ways to build. He’s particularly passionate about improving housing and construction efficiency across Victoria and Vancouver Island through practical, innovative metal solutions.

Beyond the shop floor, Ryan is actively invested in the local business community and believes long-term success is built collaboratively. His focus is creating strong partnerships, strengthening the trades ecosystem, and contributing to shared, bilateral growth for peers and clients alike.

His approach is simple: build clean systems, empower great people, and deliver work that lasts.
